🛠️🌊 THE GUERNSEY CHUCKLE SHED 🌊🛠️
Hats off, ladders up, sleeves rolled. 💪
More than 60 brilliant volunteers crossed the causeway at the first low tide to help Lihou Island begin its latest recovery.
After heavy storm damage left Lihou House with battered dormers, torn fascias and leaky roofs, the island finally got its first real window for action. Armed with tools, timber and teamwork, the crew got stuck in patching things up and protecting the building until full repairs can begin.
Warden Steve Sarre summed it up best:
“It’s been an amazing response. A real community effort.”
Storms may knock the tiles loose, but Guernsey always shows up strong.
Community spirit: firmly nailed down. ❤️

Thank you to everyone that came over and helped with the clear up from storm Goretti and to support us in making sure we had temporary fixes where we can.
It was great to have so much support for the charity
