IMPORTANT
NO MAINTENANCE OR REPAIRS SHOULD BE ATTEMPTED BY USERS OF THE HOUSE
For Information only
The water in Lihou house comes from a borehole. Whilst the water is potable (drinkable) direct from the borehole, it is run through basic filtration for particle removal, UV light tube to kill any potential bugs and a water softener.
All water supplied to the house is fine to drink. It does have a slight taste and colour but this is normal for borehole water that is not treated with chemicals. Please do not waste water.
In the event of a breakdown
It will become apparent that there is something wrong with the system if any one of the following three incidents occurs:
- No cold water is available from the cold taps throughout the house.
- The toilets donβt refill with water after flushing.
- No hot water is available for the showers.
In the event of a breakdown and the resulting failure of the water supply, the warden should be contacted on mobile 07781 120421
