Biting Stonecrop

Sedum acre
A bright, golden-yellow stonecrop, Biting Stonecrop gets its name from the peppery βbiteβ of its leaves. It can spread rapidly over thin soils or cracks in rock, forming a sun-catching carpet.
- Habitat: Rocky outcrops, walls, coastal dunes, thin turf.
- When to See: Flowers mostly in early to mid-summer.
- Length: Low-growing mats up to ~5 cm tall.
