Creeping Buttercup

Ranunculus repens
A well-known buttercup with bright yellow flowers and runners (stolons) that root at intervals, helping it spread. Its leaves are divided into three lobes, each often with a pale mark.
- Habitat: Damp meadows, gardens, ditches, marshy lawns
- When to See: Flowers mainly from spring to early summer
- Length: 10β40β―cm, but can spread sideways via creeping stems
